The Opportunity 

The Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the company’s financial integrity by assisting with the year-end audit, producing statutory accounts, preparing tax computations, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting regulations. The role also involves conducting internal audits, improving and documenting financial processes, and providing support for key business decisions. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and a strategic mindset.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist with Year End Group Audit 

• Produce Year-End Statutory Accounts

• Produce Tax Computations

• Ensure all financial reporting and accounting  practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

• Keep up to date with changes in financial and tax regulations and ensure these are implemented correctly within the company’s practices

• Plan and execute internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and identify areas for improvement.

• Review, refine, and document existing financial processes to ensure they are efficient, accurate, and aligned with best practices.

• Assist in evaluating the financial implications of major business initiatives and strategies

• Other Ad-Hoc work as required

About you 

Essential

• Relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA – would consider finalist)

• Background in Audit/Practice 

• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel

• High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information

• Willingness to try new things, innovative & pioneering approach.

• Enthusiastic team player – able to build constructive relationships with key stakeholders.

• Can work independently as well as part of a team.

• Effective communicator – able to discuss queries or issues with key stakeholders at all levels of the business.

• Organised & Deadline Driven

Desirable

• Experience working with multiple systems/software

• Familiar with CaseWare system
