The Opportunity
The Maintenance Store Person is responsible for organising and running a busy maintenance spares stores function to ensure jobs can be completed efficiently on-time, every time with the correct parts and tools on stock and easily located. This includes ordering new parts & raising purchase orders. The ideal person has the ability to learn & use our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) and develop a stores location system. An engineering background or working in an engineering stores would be preferred.
In this role, you will:
• Organise the maintenance stores to ensure there is always the required level of ‘spare parts’ stock.
• Identify the need for and plan the purchase of ‘non-stock’ items to enable jobs to be completed on time, every time.
• Ensure efficient spares storage, retrieval & identification systems are in place & easy to use.
• Monitor and maintain stores stock levels, re-ordering spare parts as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping and high-quality standards in all tasks.
• Sign off delivery notes and place orders for spare parts, either online or via the telephone.
• Undertake routine reporting and analysis of stock levels.
