As a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice, you won’t just be learning—you’ll be creating. You’ll work alongside our world-class engineers on innovative projects that save lives, protect assets, and redefine what’s possible in mechanical design and engineering.
As a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice, you’ll immerse yourself in designing and engineering solutions that make a tangible impact. From concept development and prototyping to testing and manufacturing, you’ll contribute to projects that help A-SAFE deliver world-class safety solutions.
You’ll study for a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Sheffield Hallam University while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. You’ll work on everything from designing mechanical systems for our award-winning safety barriers to tackling real-world challenges in automation and manufacturing.
What Makes This Opportunity Special?
We’re looking for individuals with:
- GCSE (or equivalent) mathematics and English language at grade C or grade 4, or above
- A minimum of 112 UCAS points (BBC at A-level or equivalent), including mathematics or a mathematics-based subject, plus at least one other STEM subject such as Physics, Chemistry, or Design Technology. Alternatively, a BTEC Level 3 in Engineering or a related discipline is acceptable.
